“Farm Her”  is a documentary that shines a light on women farmers in America. In 2013, Marji Gulyer-Alaniz saw a commercial that was about American farmers. While the commercial moved her, she felt something was missing . . . images of women. It was then that she decided to devote her life to photographing women farmers and she created the organization FarmHer. The documentary follows seven women farmers and ranchers from around the country and visits with them about what it’s like to be a woman in what is typically thought of as a man’s world.

Farm Her” will be shown on Sunday March 25th at 3PM.

Farmers for America” explores the future of farming in America is a celebration of our young farmers. We face a unique moment in America’s agriculture.  The average age of the U.S. farmer is 60 years old.  Half of our farmland is going to change hands in the next 12 years. 20% of our food is imported.  It is a time of upheaval, risk and extraordinary opportunity.  To continue to feed ourselves in the years ahead, we need a new generation of young people to step forward.

Farmers for America” will be shown on Saturday, April 28th at 3PM.

Inhabit” introduces the concept of permaculture: a design method that offers an ecological lens for solving issues related to agriculture, economics, and governance. With a review of many different projects and practitioners, it is a reminder that humans are capable of being planetary healing forces.

“Inhabit” will be shown on Saturday, May 19th, 2018.
